The library has been a busy place.

Our our online library catalog has migrated to Follett Destiny. Go to Cambridge.Follettdestiny.com to search the catalog. All third, fourth, and fifth graders may use their student ID numbers and passwords to log in and see what they have checked out, and to browse our ebooks, audiobooks, and our online databases.

We are continuing our very popular before-school library pass program. Students in grades 2-5 may come up to the library before the bell rings, after getting a pass from the office. There are 15 passes available each morning, and they are subject to Ms. Moynihan being available.

Second grade is the first time kids bring their school library books home, and I really want them to remember to return them so they can get more. They have all designated a spot in the house where they will keep their library books.

We have also made refrigerator magnets in third and fourth grades to remind kids of their library day.

We received a grant from the Cambridge Rotary Club this past summer to enhance our collection of multicultural fairy tales, and to purchase more puppets for our third-grade “traditional tales” puppet shows!

Finally, do you love libraries? I would love to have one or two parent volunteers in the library. Kids are borrowing hundreds of books every week, and I am having a hard time keeping up with the shelving. We also need help checking books in and out, doing book processing, displays, and special projects. Please call me at 617.349.4100 or email us to talk.
