Welcome to the Kennedy-Longfellow School in the heart of East Cambridge! We are a vibrant
community of learners who value and celebrate the rich diversity of our students, families and
staff. Our vision for the Kennedy-Longfellow School is to challenge ALL students to become
curious, active and engaged learners through culturally relevant curriculum and authentic
classroom and field experiences that promote awareness of each individual’s role in a global
community. We aim to achieve that vision by creating a supportive and nurturing school
environment for the students, partnering with families and other organizations throughout the
Cambridge community in ways that support our students and families, and maintaining and
enhancing our reflective, inquiry-based professional learning community of educators.
The Kennedy-Longfellow school is a place that embraces the whole child and our staff works
diligently toward ensuring we meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of everyone in
the building. We pride ourselves on teaching and living our school values of Active Learning,
Citizenship, Respect, Responsibility, and Safety every day: The Wildcat Way!
We are committed to creating a rigorous and supportive environment in which students are
challenged to achieve at high levels. Please explore our website and learn more about our
