Second grade families in Rooms 203 and 204 came together to have a Family Potluck and celebrate the end of the students' People & Places project. People & Places is an interdisciplinary project. Students learned about the seven continents and the people who live there. They did non-fiction reading and writing for English Language Arts, they explored world geography and map skills for Social Studies, and for Science they studied the Earth's surface. They connect all this to their own family cultures. Students shared their work from the last few months and families each brought a food dish that is traditional or important to them. It was a great night full of good company and good food!
