We are so fortunate to be surrounded by community members from many different cultures! Grade 1 SEI thought it would be great to learn about how some members of our community observe Ramadan. We invited Ms. Hanan to read to our class. After listening to My First Ramadan, the JK and Grade 1 SEI classes made lanterns. First graders wrote about what they learned in regards to the observance of Ramadan. Our goal is to foster an appreciation/celebration of cultural diversity!
