Author Susan Tan Visits KLO

Porter Square Books provided us with an author visit with Susan Tan! She presented her book, Pet's Rule. It's the story of Ember, a rescue Chihuahua who thinks he is destined to rule the world. She brought the story to life with stories about her own dog, who inspired the main character. Susan also shared that she struggled to read and write as a child. She encouraged the students to write and read every day. At the end, Porter Square Books announced that each child would get two books autographed by Susan! When she left, they asked when she would come back. A special thanks to Porter Square Books making this happen.
