Cider SaleEach year our school Librarian, Susan Moynihan, challenges our students to Trick or Treat for Unicef. This year, Ms. Vaz’s 4th grade class thought that maybe they could do more. They decided to have a hot cider stand to raise additional money. For three days they had a stand during recess with the other 4th grade. It was a HUGE success.

They charged 50 cents a cup and made $225! The stand was even visited by some VIPs (including Superintendent Young, two School Committee members, and a representative from the Mayor’s office). The kids were so excited by their success that they decided to do a Winter Accessory Drive to get donations of new hats, scarves, gloves, and warm socks before the holidays. These will go to kids in the school or to Cradles to Crayons. Way to go 4th grade and thank you to everyone that supported us!
