ChristineGerber.jpgWelcome to the Kennedy-Longfellow School. We are a vibrant community with a dedicated staff who work every day to provide robust learning opportunities for all of our students.

One of the most important aspects of the learning environment at the Kennedy-Longfellow School is our Technology Partnership with Lesley University. The goal of this partnership is to truly change the landscape of education by creating a more student-driven instructional approach. We are doing this by introducing personal computing devices(iPad, laptop, etc.) for all our students. Currently, we have several class sets of iPads and laptops in circulation as well as a Smart Board in every classroom. As our students and teachers develop a deeper knowledge of technology and how it can be used to enhance and support our academics, we will introduce devices until we have created a one device per student environment.

We are also able to provide embedded professional development from Lesley University staff that is on-site daily and our teachers also have access to regional conferences. Throughout the year and half of our partnership we have had teachers present at regional, state, and national conferences about our technology integration and specifically the work they are doing in their classrooms. It is an amazing opportunity to educate our students with the necessary skills to succeed in the 21 Century.

The Kennedy-Longfellow school is a place that embraces the whole child and our staff works diligently toward ensuring we meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of everyone in the building. We are committed to creating a rigorous and supportive environment in which students are challenged to achieve at high levels.
